I attached a photo. I’m replacing this old sprinkler box with an ImoLaza.
Why does zone 1 have three wires in it? Are 3 wires too many and can it cause issues?
Why do all the other zones have 2 wires, is that common for certain installations? Do I transfer all these wires exactly the same onto my new ImoLaza box?

I recommend disconnecting the wires that are connected to a single terminal and then reconnecting them one by one, testing each connection to identify which zones they control. If a single terminal indeed controls multiple zones, you can connect the wires to the ImoLaza controller in the same way they were connected to the old controller. However, please note that a terminal should not have more than three zone wires connected. If you have purchased a 12-zone or 16-zone device, you can distribute the zone wires that were connected to the same terminal to other terminals.

Thank you, I installed the new ImoLaza box and transferred all the wires exactly how it looks in the previous photo. All zone are working. I just don’t like having 3 wires in one zone so I will test some things to see if I can remove one of the wires from zone 1.

I had problems with zone 7 and 8 before when I had this old controller and now when I transferred the wires to the new ImoLaza box, I still have the same problems:
These two zones, 7 and 8, I cannot control through the app or on the controller box but I actually have to manually open a valve into the ground in order for the sprinkler to work. Any solution for this?

bardo You can try connecting the wires for Zone 7 and Zone 8 to other terminals and test them. If they still do not work, you may need to check if the valves for Zone 7 and Zone 8 are functioning properly.
